The Pensions Regulator (TPR), in collaboration with the Pension Scams Action Group (PSAG), has released new videos featuring Pauline Padden, a critical care nurse from Merseyside who lost £45,000 to pension fraud.

These videos, part of Scams Awareness Week organised by Citizens Advice and the Consumer Protection Partnership (CPP), aim to highlight the devastating impact of pension fraud and urge savers to be vigilant.

Pauline, one of 245 victims in a £13.5 million scam, advises others to look carefully at pension offers that seem too good to be true.

With scammers’ tactics constantly evolving, TPR emphasises the importance of staying informed, noting that £17 million was lost to pension fraud in 2023 alone.
